India Outreach - The Man Who Would Not Smile

From 'The Adventures of Sam and Chris' (East India, Vol. 1, September 2004) Physically exhausted, Sam and I walked into a remote village in East India with our Bibles. The man pictured here would not smile. We proclaimed the life giving goodness and salvation of Jesus Christ to the village. The people came alive as Sam preached and afterward we laid the foundation stones for the villagers new church building. The people celebrated and there was much joy. Upon leaving the village, the man still had not smiled. My heart sank for him. As I approached the man, the love of Christ overwhelmed me. I took this man's hand in mine and smiled into his eyes. God's love overwhelmed us both... and he broke out into this 'grin of all grins'. The village went ecstatic! We felt the everlasting joy of the everloving God upon our lives and for these people. What a refreshing thing it is to see the joy of salvation in a man's eyes! Jesus Christ is alive and doing His will and His work even in the remotest parts of the earth. Glory to the Most High God for His Goodness and Love and Mercy and Salvation!
