DOOR-to-door salesmen and Jehovah's Witnesses have been hit with a council ban in the first initiative of its kind in Scotland to protect residents from unwelcome cold callers.

Angus Council has joined forces with Tayside Police and Neighbourhood Watch to set up six "no cold-calling zones" throughout the area, with plans for more than 100 eventually.

Doorstep cold-calling is often used as a smokescreen by criminals to prey on vulnerable households, particularly the elderly.

Pilot schemes, where signs and window stickers warned off would-be door-to-door sellers, significantly reduced general crime figures in the area, according to council research.

Greetings once again!

I have also received correspondence from Christian who have gotten into alternative therapies, new age healing, and Kundalini [yoga] arousal, contemplative meditation, etc. Although these people are Christians, their lives have been dramatically affected by occult influences. This ought not to be.

Sadly, many leaders in churches nowadays are "doing church" by integrating Gnostic mysticism and ancient rituals into church services. These include but are not limited to utilizing mantras, praying with crystals, centering prayer, visiaulizing Jesus [which one?], incense, candles, venerating images and icons, walking labyrinths, etc.

A simple reading of Jeremaih chapter 7 and 8 reveals what our Holy God thinks about mixing pagan religious practices with the worship of the One true God - Jehovah - Jesus Christ!

Try to let this place be a place where you let go of the modernistic idea of humanity above and separate from nature. The world is changing. So is the Christian evangelical church. There was a time— not that long ago—when the Bible was considered to be the Word of God by the majority of evangelical Christians. Now that we are well into the third millennium and the post-modern, post-Christian era, the term evangelical can mean almost anything. What has happened? Why is this happening and what is the future for mainstream Christianity?

For the past several years, I have been speaking around the world on current trends that are impacting Christianity. After these presentations, I am approached by Christians who come from many different church backgrounds. Many are expressing their concerns about what is happening in their churches, troubled by the new direction they see their church going. While they may not always be able to discern what is wrong, they know something is wrong and that it needs to be addressed.

Further, many have told me they have attempted to express their concerns with their pastors or church elders. In almost every case, they were told they had a choice to make—get with the new program or get out of the church.

This move towards a reinvented Christianity (one designed to “reach people”) seems to be here for the long haul. It is not just a passing fad. I am often asked by concerned brothers and sisters in Christ to provide an explanation in order to help them understand what they have encountered. They want to know why these changes are underway and what to expect in the future. As well, they want to know what, if anything can be done, to stem this tide. It is for this reason I am writing this commentary—to provide biblical insight regarding the Emerging Church and where it is heading in the future.

One of the common beliefs circulating amongst the supporters of the Emergent Church is a concept called “Vintage Christianity”. According to this view, experiences effective in attracting Christians to come to church in the past should be reintroduced today in order to attract the postmodern generation who are hungry for experience.

Dan Kimball, author of the book The Emerging Church: Vintage Christianity for New Generation is one of the key proponents of this idea. He firmly believes that worship must play an important role to attract post-moderns into Christianity. In a section of his book subtitled “Truly worshipping in a worship gathering,” he writes:

We should be returning to a no-holds-barred approach to worship and teaching so that when we gather, there is no doubt we are in the presence of God. I believe that both believers and unbelievers in our emerging culture are hungry for this. It isn’t about clever apologetics or careful exegetical and expository preaching or great worship bands. … Emerging generations are hungry to experience God in worship. [1]...

The Roman Catholic Church’s belief that the “presence” of Jesus Christ becomes manifest by the mystical process of transubstantiation during Mass has been foundational to their faith for centuries. [1] According to the Roman Catholic Church, a Roman Catholic priest supposedly has the authority and the power to conjure up the presence of the Creator of the universe from a wafer. In order to be a Roman Catholic, the church requires members to accept this belief and be obedient to it. There are no exceptions. [2]

While it is true that during the Reformation and Counter Reformation, many who refused to believe in the presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist died or were tortured for their disbelief, time has a way of allowing the facts of history to be forgotten. [3] It is also a fact there are even practicing Roman Catholics today who do not abide by the Church’s proclaimed standard that they must believe the consecrated wafer is God and not just a symbol of remembrance. [4]

This, of course, was one of the major reasons for the “New Evangelization” program implemented by Pope John Paul II during his time of leadership. In April of 2003, the pope wrote an encyclical promoting the “New Evangelization” program for the purpose of “rekindling amazement” focussing on the presence of Christ in the Eucharist. [5] From that point on, I have been following the Roman Catholic agenda to win the world to the Roman Catholic Jesus.

The Emerging Church controversy continues to explode. Perhaps the best way to describe the Emerging Church phenomenon is to compare it to an avalanche. Every day more and more information is being made available regarding what the Emerging Church is and where it may be headed.

The Emerging Church
It is not my purpose in writing this commentary to define every aspect of the Emerging Church. In fact it would require several volumes to do so. Even then, some would say that the Emerging Church was not defined properly.

The common denominator being promoted is the idea that the time has come for Christianity to be reinvented for our generation. In order to do so, the church must provide the environment and the experiences to attract people. Christianity, the Emerging Church promoters say, must become relevant to our postmodern generation. No longer does reason or God’s Word hold the answers to life’s questions. Experience must become the key factor to encounter spiritual reality.

REUTERS - By Philip Pullella and Tom Heneghan - December 1, 2006 -- ISTANBUL -- Pope Benedict wound up a fence-mending visit to Turkey on Friday amid praise from the local press for visiting Istanbul's Blue Mosque and praying toward Mecca "like Muslims".

The Pope, who sparked protests across the Muslim world with a speech two months ago seen as criticizing Islam, looked relaxed and pleased as he entered the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit for a mass at the end of the sensitive four-day trip.

His first visit to a mostly Muslim country, held under tight security for fear of protests by nationalists and Islamists, was highlighted by a series of conciliatory gestures culminating in a stop on Thursday afternoon in Istanbul's famed Blue Mosque.

"The Pope's dreaded visit was concluded with a wonderful surprise," wrote daily Aksam on its front page.

"In Sultan Ahmet Mosque, he turned toward Mecca and prayed like Muslims," popular daily Hurriyet said, using the building's official name.

His gestures, including support for Ankara's bid to join the European Union and praise for Islam as a peaceful faith, seem to have persuaded the Turks to move beyond the tension following his speech quoting a Byzantine emperor as calling Islam violent.

But in Islam's Middle Eastern heartland, Arab commentators still call for Benedict to issue a full apology for his speech. Shocked by the protests it triggered, the Pope has said he did not agree with the controversial quote but has not apologized.

Catholic officials also presented the mosque visit, where Benedict stood in silent prayer while Istanbul Grand Mufti Mustafa Cagrici prayed aloud, as a key moment of reconciliation.

Important update: CRITICAL DEVELOPMENTS RELATING TO THE SEXUAL ORIENTATION REGULATIONS (SORs)

CRITICAL DEVELOPMENTS RELATING TO THE SEXUAL ORIENTATION REGULATIONS (SORs)

Important update

Critical developments in the situation regarding the SORs have taken place over the past few days. Having taken many people by surprise in publishing the Northern Ireland (NI) Regulations early, and before even responding to the consultation process that had taken place, the Government have now accelerated the process still further by rushing to lay the NI SORs before Parliament late last Friday (24th November).

The laying of the Regulations coincided with our discovery that the Government have chosen to use a special Parliamentary procedure to push the Regulations through WITH NO NEED FOR ANY DEBATE OR VOTE IN PARLIAMENT AT ALL. This ‘negative resolution procedure’ means that the mere elapsing of 40 days from the date of the Regulations being laid will see the SORs become law in Northern Ireland. This in turn will set a dangerous precedent for the England, Wales and Scotland SORs which are due to come into force in April 2007.

The only way the NI Regulations can now be amended and improved to deal with the current infringement of freedom of conscience and freedom to practice Christianity that they create, is 1) by the Government agreeing to withdraw and amend them or 2) a member of the House of Commons or House of Lords seeking an annulment of the SORs and sufficient time being granted by the Government for such a debate and vote to take place.

This all emphasises the need to pray and act on the issue NOW. The momentum in the media is growing as awareness increases regarding the impact of these Regulations on Christians and the manner in which they will discriminate against those who believe in the Bible (see the link to the front page of the Daily Mail, below).

Action

As the momentum grows in the media, the role of Christians in seeking amendments to the law to protect freedom of conscience and freedom of religion becomes increasingly important. If Christians mobilise and act together they will form a powerful lobby which the Government cannot ignore. So now is the time when it will be most effective for Christians to speak out in defence of our right to speak openly from the Bible and to live according to the Bible’s teaching about sexual morality, whether in church on a Sunday, or in our jobs during the week. It is a key matter of principle that British law is not used to make it illegal to follow any aspect of the Bible’s teaching.

They key things that all Christians can do are:

Pray and inform others of this situation.
Continue to lobby MPs and Peers. THIS IS VITAL. There are under 40 days remaining in which politicians can seek to have the NI SORs annulled so that an improved law can be put in their place. The very least we want is delay on this matter until the England, Wales and Scotland SORs are finalised, so that such an improved law can be put in place for the whole of the UK.

Of equal importance is asking MPs to petition the Government to withdraw the NI SORs whilst a principled settlement is agreed safeguarding freedom of conscience and religion. EVERY CHRISTIAN LIVING IN BRITIAN HAS AN MP AND SHOULD REQUEST THAT THEIR MP REPRESENT THEIR VIEWS TO THE GOVERNMENT THAT THE SORs MUST BE WITHDRAWN WHILST A SOLUTION IS SOUGHT. The ministers who should be contacted in particular are Peter Hain (minister for Northern Ireland), Ruth Kelly and Meg Munn (who have jurisdiction over the England, Wales and Scotland Regulations).

All newspapers (national and local) are becoming increasingly interested in this matter. It is key for Christians to respond to articles that are written (particularly by sending letters to go in the ‘comments’ section of newspapers) by setting out clearly and truthfully the need for the Government to re-think the SORs. Commenting on online discussions relating to this matter is also an excellent opportunity to set out the teaching of the Bible to those who might otherwise not hear it.

We particularly need Christians who are providers of goods and services to speak out if the law will affect them, particularly if the SORs would force them to choose between following the Bible and following the new law. In particular, a Christian printer should draw attention to the difficulty they would have printing anything which promoted homosexual practice, a Christian teacher should draw attention to the difficulties that will be caused if pupils can sue them for teaching that marriage, not homosexual relationship, is the correct context for sex and for raising children, a Christian parent should draw attention to the fact that they want their child’s teachers to be free to promote marriage above Civil Partnerships, and a Christian leader should draw attention to the chilling effect that the SORs will have on their congregation who will be under threat of being taken to court if in living out their belief in the Bible, this requires them to discriminate on the grounds of sexual orientation.

If by "living by your convictions" Warren is speaking of "doing what is right in (his) own eyes" (Judges 17:6) then he is a proper authority to speak on that subject. If by "living by your convictions" he means living in accordance to the Word of God, then I can't see how he could POSSIBLY be a good person to preach on this subject. Rick Warren and his whole program of Dominionism have NOTHING to do with our mandate as Christians to be light and salt in the world. Who told Rick to brag in his P.E.A.C.E. plan that we can "overcome" five of the biggest problems of the world? “Our goal will be to enlist 'one billion foot soldiers for the Kingdom of God', who will permanently change the face of international missions to take on these five “global giants” for which the church can become the ultimate distribution and change agent to overcome Spiritual Emptiness, Self-serving Leadership, Poverty, Disease and ignorance (or illiteracy)." For now we will always have the poor with us (Mark 14:7), disease has and will continue throughout the history of the world and through the Tribulation, and ignorance is a universal problem, especially among those who twist Scripture like Rick Warren. It was another one of those headlines that immediately caught my attention: “Non-Catholic visitor sees Jesus in local chapel.” [1] Ever since I became aware of the Roman Catholic New Evangelization program to win the world to the Roman Catholic Eucharistic Christ, I have been expecting a news item of this nature.

The St. Charles Herald Guide reported that a petroleum geologist by the name of Andy Petty experienced a manifestation of “Jesus” at the Adoration Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Quoting from the article:

It all started when Petty visited Our Lady of Perpetual Help Adoration Chapel in Rivertown. Little did he know that someone was waiting for him there. Petty, who belonged to the Worldwide Church of God, was only attending Our Lady of Perpetual Help to be with his fiancé, Ina. When Ina said, “let’s go to the chapel” he thought she meant wedding chapel. [2]

For those not familiar with this topic, adoration of the Eucharistic Jesus that takes place in adoration chapels is a major part of the New Evangelization program. In order to understand what this means, some basic terms and concepts need to be defined.

First, a priest performs the act of transubstantiation. This is when it is believed that a host (wafer) actually becomes the presence of Jesus – the Eucharistic Christ. Second, the host is placed in a container called a monstrance. Third, the monstrance is placed in an adoration chapel where the faithful come to worship and adore the Eucharistic Christ...

Evangelical Christians Combine Contemplative Mysticism with Catholic Eucharist

Many Christians believe that the Christian tradition of communion is the same as the Catholic tradition of the Eucharist. But this is not so. The Eucharist (i.e., Transubstantiation ) is a Catholic term for communion when the bread and the wine supposedly become the very body and blood of Jesus Christ; thus when taken the partaker is said to experience the presence of Jesus. These transformed elements are placed in what is called a monstrance and can then be worshipped as if worshipping Jesus Himself. The implications are tied in with salvation. With the Eucharist, salvation becomes sacramental (participation in a ritual) as opposed to justification by faith in Christ alone. While this mystical experience called the Eucharist is a form of idolatry (as well as the very heart of Catholicism), there appears to be an increase of interest by evangelical Christians towards this practice.

In Roger Oakland's vital book, Another Jesus?: The Eucharistic Christ and the New Evangelization, he explains that the Catholic church leadership, concerned because of apathy for the Eucharist within the Catholic ranks, is hoping to "rekindle the amazement" of the Eucharist through what is called their "new evangelization program." With a two-fold purpose - to keep present Catholics and to bring evangelicals into the Catholic church - church leadership hopes to enliven the Eucharist. By saying "rekindle the amazement," they mean bring out the mystical, supernatural element of the Eucharist.

Acceptance of the Eucharist by evangelical Christians has been simmering in the background for some time. Chuck Colson's Evangelicals and Catholics Together document played a significant role with desensitizing believers into finding common ground with Catholicism. Rick Warren has openly shown, time and again, his affinity to joining Catholicism and evangelicalism together. But as we have succinctly pointed out in our other works, it is mysticism that unites all the world's religious traditions. In that mystical realm that is achieved through contemplative prayer, it is taught that God is in all things, and God is all things. To those who traditionally haven't had much ritual in their lives (i.e., Protestants) the ambiance of the Mass would have great appeal because of it's religious novelty - thus the interest in the Eucharist by those evangelicals who promote contemplative. And for most Catholics, the Mass (where the Eucharist is presented), in and of itself, is not a mystical experience, but if you add the contemplative as a draw, one actually does enter the mystical realm. On the surface this phenomenon seems complex, but when you look underneath it makes perfect sense. Within the contemplative prayer realm you actually are getting in touch with a spiritual power or force. Combining the tradition of the Eucharist, which appeals to many raised in the Catholic church, with the relatively recent explosion of contemplative practice, the Catholic church sees this as a way to recover its robust state it had in previous decades.

Christianity Today Admits Evangelicalism's Laodicean Character

Here is another small news clip illustrating the fact that the red sky warning of the Laodicean age has come. The signs of end times apostasy are everywhere folks. Only the spiritually blind or immature believer cannot see them.

When Christianity Today, a publication noted for its incredible lack of discernment, mentions that we are in the Laodicean age, we must really be pretty far down the road of evangelical apostasy.

The author of the Christianity Today article boasts,

"We now have institutional resources and influential churches to a degree barely hoped for 50 years ago. Our people are better educated and more affluent."

We remark...

Yes, many Christian people are well educated and affluent, and they are promoting Christian yoga, Christia inner-healing, Christian visualization, Christian levitation, Christian heat healing (reiki), Christian labyrinths, Christian 'centering prayer', Christian mantras, Christian chanting, Christian drumming, Christian altered states of consciousness, Christian 'breath prayers', Christian dream interpretation (Christian psychics), Christian barking, Christian rolling, Christian holy laughter (see Hindu cults), Christian uncontrollable crying, Christian spasmotic jerking, Christian slithering (like snakes) etc. ad nauseum.

But all these things, that many so-called well educated Christian leaders are endorsing are not only unbiblical, they come from the world of the occult. See Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, Serpent worship, Eastern Guru cults, the Kumbha Mela (30-70 millions Hindu worshipper festival seeking an experience) etc.

The signs of the times are all over the place and the place to look for answers is no longer to be found in many pulpits. Believers need to read the Word of God and test all things, regardless of who is preaching and teaching them, oursleves included! 1 Thessalonians 5:221 and Acts 17:11 still apply.

Jude 3-4 says it correctly that false teachers have "crept in unawares". In our day thay have come in with their contemplative, new age, and occult spirituallity and techniqes. They have "Christianized" these and have produced a generation of sign seeking spiritual junkies who will not stop until they are bloated with spiritual quick fixes. "Experience" - the root and foundation of occultism, has been repackaged and pawned off on undiscerning church-goers as the "New Spiritual Formation". The clarion call of the Christian church in our day is no longer "study the Word of God and show thyself approved unto God, a workmen that needeth not be ashamed...", but, "experience the God within as you hear the inner-voice, sense His presence, and chant your Christian mantra." This is Hinduism for the West!

No wonder that the Laodicean age has come! The flock is eating poisonous weeds just as fast as the compromised publishing houses, bookstores and pulpits can produce them. The sheep have been fattened up for the kill and the doors of slaughterhouse apostasy are swinging wide open to the masses.

CHRISTIANITY TODAY ADMITS EVANGELICALISM'S LAODICEAN CHARACTER

- An editorial posted to the Christianity Today web site on October 19, 2006, inadvertently admits the Laodicean character of contemporary evangelicalism. The article, "Let's Improve the Public Perception of Evangelicalism," frets about public misperceptions of their movement, especially that "in the public's mind" evangelicalism is "linked with extreme fundamentalism." Horror of horrors! For 50 years the New Evangelicals have been trying to portray themselves as the reasonable, scholarly, positive face of Christianity, but society still thinks they are just fundamentalists. It is laughable. The author recounts the beginnings of modern evangelicalism as follows: "Let's agree that the word evangelical still works, but not like it did when the pioneers of the neo-evangelical movement adopted it. At that time, it signaled their positive stance for the gospel along with a fresh, non-fundamentalist agenda of cooperation and cultural engagement." Observe that the writer admits that New-Evangelicalism is this generation's heritage, and he glories in the fact that evangelicalism has rejected separatistic fundamentalism for a "positive stance." This confirms what we have long said, that evangelicalism and neo-evangelicalism have become synonyms over the past 50 years. The author then boasts about evangelicalism's greatness as follows: "We now have institutional resources and influential churches to a degree barely hoped for 50 years ago. Our people are better educated and more affluent." The Lord must be terribly impressed. "Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked" (Rev. 3:17).

Even at the Wesley Owen Bookstore in Edinburgh, when the manager was lovingly confronted regarding the blatant, anti-Christian heresies of Benny Hinn and Kenneth Copeland, the manager told me to my face that she would allow the store to sell heresy...because it is popular and people will buy it what is popular. What kind of "Christian bookstore manager" is this?

Just because a clown wears a smile does not mean the face behind the mask is a happy one. So too, just because a Christian bookstore is called "Christian" does not mean that what you buy will by any means be "Christian". In fact, it may even be downright satanic.

Watch out and use discernment or you might be led astray from Christ by what your local compromising Christian Bookstore has sold you.

-- How long will it be before Christianity becomes illegal in Britain? This is no longer the utterly absurd and offensive question that on first blush it would appear to be.

An evangelical Christian campaigner, Stephen Green was arrested and charged last weekend with using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.

So what was this behaviour? Merely trying peacefully to hand out leaflets at a gay rally in Cardiff.

So what was printed on those leaflets that was so threatening, abusive or insulting that it attracted the full force of the law?

Why, none other than the majestic words of the 1611 King James Bible.
The problem was that they were those bits of the Bible which forbid homosexuality. The leaflets also urged homosexuals to "turn from your sins and you will be saved".

But to the secular priests of the human rights culture, the only sin is to say that homosexuality is a sin.

Admittedly, Mr Green is not everyone's cup of tea; other Christians regard him as extreme. But our society is now so upside-down that, by doing nothing more than upholding a fundamental tenet of Christianity, he was treated like a criminal.

And yet at the same time, the police are still studiously refusing to act against Islamic zealots abusing British freedom to preach hatred and incitement against the West.

In the kindergarten, female teachers, warned of an impending visit by a man, draw full facial veils before receiving their guest. When the guest arrives, the children offer a chorus in Arabic: “As salaam aleikum” — peace be upon you.

“Here we can keep ourselves on the path of religion,” said Nasir Nathalia, a 15-year-old student at the Leicester Islamic Academy. His friend Mohammed Seedat agrees. “There is less chance here of going off the track,” he said.

This is the piety that Britain’s expanding Islamic schools seek to project, casting themselves as typical of the thousands of faith schools, mainly Christian, that make up roughly one-third of all publicly financed British schools.

But the visible differences — the way female teenagers wear the full-length dress and head-covering and the boys wear black robes and skullcaps — play into a ferocious debate about the sense of separateness or readiness to integrate Britain’s estimated 1.8 million Muslims, about 3 percent of the population.

There is a movement today (mainly coming from the sacred name camp and law keepers) telling us that God did not choose Paul, and that his gospel is false. The reason they have arrived at this conclusion is because they are mostly law keepers who do not understand the covenants, nor understand the differences in the Mosaic and the new covenant based on the grace of God and the work of Yeshua (Jesus) on the cross.

There have always been attacks on the Bible and its acceptance. In the early church about A.D. 140, a man named Marcion instituted the first real controversy. He rejected the majority of the New Testament He believed God rejected Paul and accepted Peter. He threw out Matthew, Mark, and John and made a canon of his own consisting of Luke which he rewrote. There are others today who want to rewrite the Bible, add other books (Gnostic books) or reject some that we already have. There are at least 86,000 quotations from the early church records that believed Paul’s writings were part of Scripture. These are found in several thousand Lectionaries that are church-service books. After nearly 1900 years of the canon being established these rebels are causing a lot of confusion.

West Ham Mega-Mosque on Newsnight

Last week I toured the third biggest Mosque in the world, located in Morrocco - the King Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca. We were quickly asked to leave by security guards that were concerned for our own safety. It was the evening call to prayer, but we were warned by police that it was not a safe place to be. We were standing outside at the courtyard near the local surfbreak.

We were asked to leave at prayer time because it is not a safe place to be? This ought not to be!

Hopefully the Mega Mosque in West Ham (See below) will not fule the fires of Jihad style Islam in the U.K.

It will be interesting to see how this thing progresses when many people voice their opinions for and against it. I imagine things are going to get pretty messy.

WASHINGTON – Another Pakistani journalist is reporting receiving another threat – this one from a senior Taliban leader – warning all Muslims to leave the U.S. in anticipation of a major terrorist attack before the end of Ramadan.

The head of the Islamabad-based al-Quds Center reported receiving an audio message from Mullah Masoom Afghani urging U.S. Muslims to get out of the country "because Allah's punishment would fall on America in the month of Ramadan."
Muslims are observing Ramadan this year Sept. 24 to Oct. 23.

Jamal Ismail is the journalist who received the message. He formerly worked for al-Jazeera. He told the News of Pakistan that he received a phone call Oct. 5 from Afghani.
"Afghani said he was speaking from somewhere in Kandahar province," reported Ismail. "In it, he advised Muslim residents of America to get out to escape harm because the U.S. could face big attacks in the month of Ramadan."

THE TIMES of LONDON - October 3, 2006 - THE followers of Moqtada al-Sadr believe that the US invaded Iraq to prevent the return to Earth of their sect’s messiah-like figure, the Mahdi, or 12th imam.

Hojatoleslam al-Sadr claims that his militia is preparing for the day when the Mahdi, the last direct descendent of the revered Shia figure Ali, reappears. Shia believe that the Mahdi, who disappeared in 868, will bring justice to Earth.

At a prayer service in the central Iraqi city of Kufa on September 15, the cleric told a crowd of thousands that the Americans were collecting a dossier on the Mahdi to prevent his return. “Did you ever ask yourself about why all of this, the bloodshed and the prisons? Why are the brothers fighting each other for a political game planned by the Americans? This all happened because they (the Americans) are waiting for the Mahdi. This planning started ten years ago. They have a big file for Imam Mahdi and they just need his picture to complete it.”

Hojatoleslam al-Sadr and his advisers are convinced that the Americans want to destroy Islam and stop the Mahdi. “The Americans are trying to hijack Islamic movements. They think that these are serving the Mahdi’s interests. Whatever they did in Afghanistan and Iraq are all attempts to hijack the Mahdi’s return.”

An occult sect that slaughters sheep in sadistic "moon rituals" is expected to make a major new attack, police have been warned.

Next Saturday's full moon is believed to be of great significance to the cult responsible for more than 20 sheep killings on Dartmoor.

Farmers are being urged to guard flocks next weekend, according to the Sunday Express.

Pagan leader Ed Prynn, who has previously helped officers investigating the murder of an occultist, told the newspaper: "The next full moon is a big night, make no mistake.

"It will bring the biggest spring tides for years and people will want to mark the occasion.

"Mr Prynn, the self-styled Archdruid of Cornwall, added: "Druids and most pagans are animal lovers and so this group on Dartmoor is a mystery to us - but judging by their rituals the moon is extremely important to them. If I had livestock on the moor I'd be bringing them in.

"The attacks have been happening over the past 18 months, the paper reported.

Farmers have found strangled and mutilated sheep with carcasses laid out in the shape of a seven-pointed star.

Police are reported to be investigating a crude stone altar covered with blood stains, and the RSPCA has logged one report of a half moon shape cut into the flesh of a dead animal.

If you have ever been to India you will know that the temples there can be very large; very, very large. But this new temple, here in the United Kingdom, is the biggest one in Europe.

Britain has become so open to religious diversity that its own post-Christian population has accepted everything from multi-million dollar Hindu temples to U.K. borm and bred Islamic jihadists to hundreds of cultic and abusive religious groups. Freedom of religion mixed with foreign belief systems transforming society have transformed Britain into a melting pot of religious diversity. Even "Christin-Yoga", the ultimate oxymoron, has become a bright new ornament on the face of a compromised Christianity. Christian-Yoga is just the fruit of Hindu evangelism into Western churches. Hinduism in Britain is here to stay.

"One of the founders, Dr K Somasundara Rajah, said he remembered the idea from the mid-1970s...He said: "We used to have the use of another temple but then the congregation got bigger and in 1974 some of our group thought we should get our own temple. We said we should build a replica of the Tarupati Temple in South India."

This "temple is one of the most sacred sites in the Hindu world and has a distinctive architecture that has been followed in the West Midlands."

Stating these things is not a matter of trying to belittle people and take away a persons individual right to worship as their conscience dictates, but it is a sober reminder that the British culture is being converted and quickly transformed into all manner of spirituality. The Biblical gospel of Jesus Christ is no longer a desire for most British folks and as a result, the multi-faithism of Britain is changing the nation itself.

Many liberal preachers and teachers, as well as the general population, have neglected and outright reject the Biblical gospel and Biblical truth. The inter-faith acceptance and worship of anything and everything has become the norm. Now...chaos is following. This, is exactly what is happening in the U.K. This is the fruit of national apostasy as the once Bible preaching Britain has now become an Inter-faith melting pot of liberal ecumenism and the worship of everything.

The following article is illustrative of the changing of the gaurd. That is, casting off the Biblical injuntion to guard "the faith which was once for all entrusted to the saints" (Jude 3-4) and embracing Eastern mystical religions that are changing our times and cultural and erasing once and for all a nations Biblical worldview.

The largest Hindu temple in Europe is opening in the West Midlands with a five-day religious festival.

From Wednesday priests are to perform a number of rituals to sanctify the £6.5m Shri Venkateswara (Balaji) Temple of the UK in Tividale.

During five days more than 10,000 devotees are expected to visit the site, with most due at the weekend.

The temple's design is based on one of the holiest sites in the Hindu world, the Tirupati-Tirumala Temple in India.

Scores of sculptors and artisans from India have worked on the intricate carvings that cover the walls, ceilings, pillars and roof of the temple.

"Today's Christianity may be having a lot of fun in its new way of thinking and behaving, but this isn't a game. Eternal souls are at stake, and the departure from the faith is real. Jesus Christ is being presented as a way of relativism rather than as the way and the truth, and the faith is being presented as an ever-changing method or experience that can be inserted into any faith." Simply being a Christian does not automatically immunize us from deception. Scripture's numerous warnings are meant to be heeded. If Christians couldn't be deceived, then the Holy Spirit would be wrong about those who will "depart from the faith" (see 1 Timothy 4:1). Sadly, this departure from the faith will be so great that the Lord Jesus Christ asks us to consider whether He will actually find faith on the earth when He returns (see Luke 18:8). Since Christians today are trading in th truth of the faith for interfaith unity and are falling for the false gospel of the (New Age) New Spirituality that says all religions are equally valid paths to God, it's no wonder the Lord Jesus Christ asked this. The universal religion with its spiritual transformation is not coming; it is here. The Angel of light's kingdom is gathering together "all men of peace" from "every world religion" "as the embodiment of the emerging Kingdom of God on earth."

* In this emerging interfaith kingdom there is: "One Truth," yet many theologies; "One God," yet many paths; "One Church," yet many expressions; and "One Divine Life," yet many 'little Christs.' Despite its deceived claims that its message hasn't changed, today's Christianity is embracing the teachings of the counterfeit kingdom. Truth becomes the sacrifice:
when absolutism is out, and relativism is in;
when obedience is out, and pragmatism is in;
when teaching is out, and dialogue is in;
when thus saith the Lord is out, and consensus of opinion is in;
when using Scripture to judge right and wrong is out, and unity with tolerance at all costs is in;
when the narrow way is out, and the broad way is in.

While Christians have slumbered, the new way of thinking and acting has been built up underneath the old, leaving the old to crumble virtually without notice. It used to be that faithfulness to God turned the world upside down. Now faithfulness to the world is turning Christianity upside down.

Anyone Christian [or non-Christian] who has done research in the fields of the cults and the occult, especially Eastern religions such as Buddhism and Hinduism, will see the connection of how Emergent Leaders are bringing Eastern mysticism [called Contemplative Spirituality] into the church. Many undiscerning leaders do not even have a clue they are doing it. They do not know their Bibles well enough to recognize the error in contemplative spirituality.

It is sad but true - the undiscerning, ignorant, and those who are perhaps willfully deceiving are taking many undiscerning Christians for a big ride. If the next generation of church-goers is apostate and inducing mystical states of consciousness, no one is to blame but the "Leaders" of today who have deceived the youth into thinking they have a "deeper form of Christian spirituality". It is being purposefully driven into the hearts and mind of youth in many countries.

U.K. history is now repeting itself in the U.S.A. Look at the fruit of liberalism in the U.K. and you will have a glimpse of what churches in the U.S.A., very soon, will be experiencing... a whole smorgasboard of deception, division, and underdeveloped undiscerning Christians who are meeting in homes because churches have betrayed their confidence. This is how iot is in the U.K. and it is worse than mosty folks in the U.S.A. can even imagine - even Pastors.

Read on folks and see what the 2007 National Pastor's Convention is going to be like. It now seems that anything goes except sound Biblical teaching for Christian Leaders. What ever happened to teaching through 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus and declaring the whole counsel of God to the flock of God. When Pastors lie down and get eaten by wolves, the sheep become food for every wild beast!

We think it is a worthwhile task to investigate what is really going on in some of these large leadership conferences and who is speaking at them. The following article below reveals how undiscerning the 2007 National Pastor's Convention leadership team has been in choosing its speakers.

Zondervan and the 2007 National Pastor's Convention - Pulling Out All the Stops

The 2007 National Pastors Convention (presented by Zondervan publishers) carries a heavy-weight line up of speakers. From Ruth Haley Barton to Brian McLaren, next year's convention will not be lacking in New Age sympathizing, meditation promoting speakers. John Burke, president of Emerging Leadership Initiative, was recently a speaker at the Ancient-Wisdom Conference, and says this of the church of the future:

What do a Buddhist, a biker couple, a gay-rights activist, a transient, a high-tech engineer, a Muslim, a twenty-something single mom, a Jew, a couple living together, and an atheist all have in common? They are the future church in America! Most of them are in their twenties or thirties and became followers of Christ in the past five years. Many are now leading others in our church.

Emergent leaders Dan Kimball, Mark Driscoll, and Doug Paggit are on the speakers list as are other emerging/contemplative promoting authors such as Robert Webber (Ancient-Future Worship), Lauren Winner (Girl Meets God), and Gary Thomas (Sacred Pathways). Of Eugene Peterson, Stuart Briscoe and Phyllis Tickle, Zondervan says:

Meet this year's sages! These wise, experienced ministry leaders will be onsite and readily available to meet with you and your team by appointment. They're coming to answer your hard questions regarding real-life ministry issues and in turn give insight into what has helped them run the race well for so many years.

Unfortunately, the answers that this long line of speakers at the 2007 convention will be offering, will point participants to a spirituality that shuffles off the gospel message of Jesus Christ and introduces a sensual, demonic belief system that will bring much harm and damage. We hope you will be able to convince your pastor and other church leaders that this is not an event they should attend.

Hard working, decent teachers and administrators across America do exist, and do a superb job educating our children. Many are Christians, who care both about scholastics as well as the moral education of their students. Some do wonders. On the other hand, liberal politics and the goals of "secular" humanism have been steadily forced on multitudes of American school children. It is a culture war tied to a spiritual war, and the liberal side rejects America's Judeo-Christian heritage while embracing politically-accepted immorality. Consider some recent stories from around the country:

California
The California Assembly is to vote on Thursday on the "Bias Free Curriculum Act", which would make it illegal for public school teachers to say anything negative (or perceived as negative) against homosexuality and its variants. Public schools would not be allowed to portray gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender (GLBT) people in anything but a positive way. Governor Schwarzenegger would have definitely vetoed the bill if it contained language requiring public school textbooks to promote the "role and contributions" of GLBT in contemporary society, so that provision was removed from the bill. But, if it passes, the "Bias Free" act will deny public school teachers the freedom to deal honestly with GLBT issues. They will instead be forced to feed children the politically correct but medically and morally incorrect message that homosexuality is healthy, normal, and inborn.

South Carolina
For several years, students in Hanover County, South Carolina have learned about the Bible in school, in classes paid for by local churches. The classes were not required, but had become quite popular, with hundreds of students attending. The ACLU, however, began to complain that the classes were too religious - teaching the Bible as literal history, rather than teaching it as literature. In response, the classes were tailored to avoid "separation of church and state" problems. Then, though, critics found the program's Achilles' heel; too many of those teaching the Bible classes were not state certified. The school had to end its relationship with the Executive Committee of the Bible, the church-supported group that provided the classes. Students may take religion classes from the local community college instead.

Maryland
Montgomery County, Maryland will add a few subjects to its sex education curriculum. Proper condom use and "gay topics" will be added to the material offered to 8th and 10th grade students. The new material was approved in November 2004, but was challenged by conservative groups. To settle the lawsuit, school officials agreed to rewrite the new changes with two conservatives on the 15-member committee, but the revamped changes will most likely be passed. The principle behind the new material is that people "have the right to accept, acknowledge, and live in accordance with their sexual orientation, be they heterosexual, bisexual, gay, or lesbian."It would appear that the Bible is out and homosexuality is in. Thus the worldview war continues.
